Mina Loy, avant-garde poet, painter, novelist, and essayist was a figure heavily involved in many different avant-garde movements. Yet she is continuously relegated o the margins of modernist poets. Her dense poetry shows her broad social network and at times can be difficult to understand, particularly 100 years later. She assigns many pseudonyms when talking about others creating a veil to her poetry. The purpose of this site is to give a face to many of the figures she talks about and an image to some of the works she discusses.
